Well Tracy it could possibly help your parking. It go either way??

You could become a pro and park like this?

But somehow I think it'll be more like this.:lipssealed:?

Lol are you sure you are actually hitting the throttle pedal? Also at the light simply just preload the Torque Converter and you will take off!! The Ranger is definitely Faster then most trucks out there!!

Hi Gene,

Puzzling. I have never had any trouble dusting off a RAM with a Hemi. Hemi had its day in the sun or "under Glass"...but those days are over and gone. So take your truck back to the dealer as you Ecoboost in not working as intended. Dodge/Fiat are no challenge for my stock Ranger Lariat...

Best,
Phil
same here. i rarely run mine hard from a stop light but on one occasion a kid in hemi ram with what sounded like no mufflers kept revving it up and looking over. so i schooled him in a lesson of power to weight ratio and ford performance tuning. could hear his 8 trying but he was at least 3 car lengths back. next red he wouldnt even make eye contact lol. to be fair im not anti hemi, if we were talking 426 hemi from the golden days sure sign me up.

Newbie here. I have owned a new Ram 1500 every 3 years for the past 15 years. All V8’s and a hemi in the last three. I got bored with my 2019 black crew cab, Bighorn. Didn’t have all of the bells and whistles but it was nice and fast. Had a console so big 4 adults could eat Big Macs on it at the same time.

In 21 the Ranger really caught my eye. Problem was so many choices. so I started shopping around. I actually order 3 different ranger from different dealers all three completely different. soo let the waitI get game begin. 3-6 months was the time frame. This was in May of this year. Also due to the new way of the world my Ram appraised at 8-10k more then the payoff. I told myself hell yeah! I gonna get all the bells and whistles and coincidentally a local dealer just happen to get a Lariat. I jumped on it. I’ve bored you long enough so I’ll skip the window sticker. So to my point. I love everything about it except for the ability to leave most other trucks at the light or pass that creeping semi on a crowded expressway. Just wondering if anyone downsized and got to the point of going back. I will say I do like the look and the feel of the Ford trucks now.

ok, you can wake up. Thanks for listening:)

My 2019 Ranger does 0-60MPH right at 6 seconds flat with no tune.
Maybe you should have bought the SuperCab 2WD?
Maybe you should buy a tune??

Where I live, the Rams do get faster every year as they age....they get lighter as they rust away!

BTW what's with that Ram emblem?.... It looks like a uterus drawing from a biology book!:giggle:

That's almost as bad as the Viper emblem which was just an upside down Daffy Duck!

the only time i have any hint of remorse is when i have that hot blooded feeling and miss the muscle cars. sold my last mustang to buy the ranger. she was a sweetheart, six speed, tuned and custom exhaust. miss that deep mellow v8 idle and rowing the gears. but i get a lot more use from the ranger.

The average Ram, four door pickup weighs about 5,000 pounds. Load it with the longer bed with storage, and 4X4, the weight is close to 5,500 pounds. With the 5.7 Hemi (370 HP, 395 torque), they say its 0-60 is 5.2 seconds. I driven several, and even the eTorque barely breaks 6 seconds. Just like Gutfeld, I wonder who "they" are?

I do not try to race people out of the stoplights, but I have punched the turbo to get out of some dangerous situations on the freeways: semi to the left of me, drunk driver to the right, being tailgated by a guy in a Ram! So, yeah, the Ranger has plenty of power stock and even more with a tune (lots of threads on that, if you want more power), so no remorse, no regrets, I love my Ranger!

A couple of regular full-size truck owners on here have gone back to their larger trucks - they needed/wanted more towing and hauling capacity. At the same time, there are plenty of folks on here who come from RAMs or F150s who are some of this truck’s biggest fans.

This truck is quick, nimble, reliable, and looks great at the same time. It tows and hauls like a champ and the aftermarket support is good. I guess it comes down to how you use your truck or what you think you’ll need it for. As a contractor, I’m more than happy with a mid-size and couldn’t be more pleased with this truck.

I really appreciate the feedback. I can tell you that I have received more comments on this truck then I ever did on the Rams. They all looked alike. Every Ranger is different with all of the packages and mods.

This is going to sound really odd and don’t make fun of me but I have been a little reluctant to get on it in fear I might break it?.. Im just to used to the big trucks I guess. I have only had it right at a month, 1400 miles, so I’m gonna man up and really have some fun with it today. I’ll give a full report.

I did have a Bullet Liner sprayed in yesterday, have some chrome steps being delivered today and ordered a Terrain Management switch so I am dedicated to be a die hard Ranger owner and have made some nice FORScan changes.

Thanks again!

No remorse here either.
i bought a pickup truck
not a race car.

I'm not reading everyone's posts, I know these turn into the my truck is so fast I beat a blah blah blah....well, let me tell you, that blah blah blah probably wasn't event trying to race you.
take it to the track, get some numbers on some time slips.
otherwise, you're just....well, you know....

anyways, here's some numbers.
work on your skills, losing the race is probably cuz you're the problem. reaction times are your friends.

Can't believe i'm going to say this, but Ranger Pride is 100% correct on this.

No regrets, still love it, the only truck where I can drive with a lead foot and still get 15-16 mpg.

Runs well enough against most vehicles, good balance between power and economy.
