I would call myself a very conservative driver .... no jack rabbit starts, etc. I do most of my driving around town and once in awhile, 2-4 times a week, I do a pup ride of 5-10 miles on I70.

Today I couldn't remember if I had locked the truck when we came home, so I pulled up Ford Pass to lock it. I had just filled it. While I had it opened, I checked the oil usage thing.

Anyway, I was kind of shacked at the "Miles to Empty" number.

Like you, I'm a conservative driver and 3/4 of my 50 mile daily routine is on the freeway. I regularly have 400+ miles-to-empty showing on both my dash and on the FordPass app.
You're all good.

Mines averages around 418 driving somewhat normal, when I'm getting on it more it'll show 380. The price we pay to have fun with our Ranger. ? ?
The price we pay for fun ? I’m getting jealous at all your mileage.

Should be noted, I've used the adjustment to set my miles per gallon.

Not sure what it's called. Hold left okay down, press ignition without foot on brake until the ET thing comes on. My vehicle program I wrote already did the calculations to facilitate correct "miles to empty".

So I used that over like 8 tanks and now it's dialed in with the mpg in the dash. Maybe 0.1 MPG high or low with the old fashion miles driven/gallons used method.

Best I've *theoretically* gotten on a tank was 490 miles. Fill up(s) took something like 18.5 gal total so I would have been just about running on fumes in that 18.8 gal tank. I stopped early and put exactly 3.000 gal in just to make sure I could make it to my regular (cheaper at the time) station. When I got to said station I put in an additional 15.5 gal or so. So theoretically I could have made it all the way to that station without the initial 3 gal. And depending on if you trust the accuracy of those pumps I got around 26.6 mpgs hand calculated.

This was with my 5 star 93 performance tune driving to maximize fuel economy driving slow behind a large truck on the expressway for work about 150 miles and the rest was 2 lane 55mph hilly road with extremely slow acceleration, actually letting it lose speed up hills and coast/light acceleration downhill.

The very next tank I just drove normal 90% those hilly 55mph roads and the rest some very short drives between worksites <2 miles and got this result.
