Coming up a rainy on-ramp in Pennsylvania, the truck got a little loose under a 30% throttle applied acceleration. 20 hours out of the Ford Performance ST Octane Academy, I was pretty fresh in my vehicle handling, but I was certainly not expecting it.

285/70R17 Goodyear Duratracs and stock FX4 suspension (with a 2.25" level up front) for those curious.

Accelerating at speed, in a turn, on Duratecs, in a lifted truck, in the rain...doesn't surprise me.

Usually takes a little more to get it going but yeah, not a *complete* surprise. Not a lot of concrete around my parts.

I have a 2 inch level and 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers and they aren't known for their wet traction. The rear steps out pretty easy but the electronic nannies keep it from coming around on me.

Happens to me all the time not from the turn but during hard acceleration after the turn. Not one for reckless driving but, to this day, the power this stock 4 banger truck puts down on the fly still amazes me

not able to scientifically measure your distances, but the wiggle seemed well after the pavement change, and no longer in the turn.
Are there deer in those parts?
could there have been some greasy deer poops on the road?
Yeah it was about a truck length after the change. Definitely deer country.

I think I mostly found it strange because I didn't add any throttle, it happened right as I straightened the wheel.

Guess this means I have to go find some weird intersections for...science :sunglasses:

The wider the tire , more likely to hydroplane.
