Hello,

I just wanted some advice on what I can do on my ford ranger 2020 stx 4x4. I currently have Fox 2.0 shocks and does okay in my town on the road but it still bounces excessively on some potholes and bumps... It is uncomfortable for my children. I have tried the eibachs before the fox and those were no help at all. I love my ranger but if my family isn't comfortable on the ride then I may have to look for another vehicle. There are a lot of potholes and bumpy roads in my town.

Any recommendations please?

I want to replace the rear springs but that's $700-800. I'm hoping to find a used aftermarket set but no luck so far.

I assume you have replaced all 4? I love my Eibachs, no bounce, have them all arouind.
Yes I replaced all four, my last option is just trying out the new 2.5 fox adjustable shocks but they are pricey

I have 33 inch tires so they are around there yes
I think you've found the problem...dealership don't bother with PDI and lower the tire pressure from shipping...lower them down to 35...I'm heavier than normal with 33" and run 37 cold...

Had I not just test driven an STX with the proper tire pressure I may have walked on the XLT I ended up buying. It was sitting at almost 50psi because it had just rolled off the transport truck. After the PDI and the correct tire pressure.. less crazy bouncing.

I am still gonna swap the struts/shocks way before they are dead to help the ride more.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
So after lowering my Dealer tire pressure from 45 to 35, and replacing the stock shocks and coilovers with Eibach I am very happy with the ride, both on and off road, not much bounce at all, and adding a little weight in the back (swing cases and bed mat) made it even better.

Keep a thousand pound of overlanding gear in the rear and it rides a limo... ?
