Quick question for you guys……..for 5th gen Ranger ……are there any grease fittings/zeros? I can’t find any info on here or the interweb on the topic. Thanks in advance!
Hi Charles,

I am not aware of any Zerk fitings on the 5G Ranger.

The joke around Ford was "lubed for life" (of the part, not the vehicle)

best,
Phil

I remember a time when shops would advertise oil changes including chassis/suspension lubrication, but that was back in the 40s, kingpins were widely use back then as well.
Yep. Lube-Oil-Filter every 2000 miles

This 1s/may seem a*al but I tend to keep autos a long time and factory grease does dry out over time, I have kept a grease gun from back in the day and will make a small puncture in boots for ball joints, sway bar links, etc and pump some grease into the crevice - gotta love that feeling and so do those joints.:blush:

Thanks Phil. That’s exactly what I needed clarification on. Much appreciated!

Mine seems to need some zerks at 2k miles. The chirping/squeaking is driving me nuts. Trip to the dealer coming up when I can get a day off work.

Well, quick search of owners manual shows grease fittings mentioned in 3 places, and on all 4wd vehicles?

I couldn’t find one, but it’s dark.

Wow. Get over it and move on. Gets annoying when you ask a simple question and the (same few) just can't resist making jokes on the first few postings. Time and place, that's not it. Maybe once a persons question has been answered. I see many times it gets so out of hand the op's question gets forgotten.
