I am thinking about buying LT265/70R17C BFG K02's installed on Ranger OEM 17X8 Charcoal wheels. My Ranger is stock: no level, no lift. Truck is still under 36 mo. warranty.
1. Will this tire size void the Ford warranty?
2. Will the OEM Ford TPMS be compatible with these tires?
3. Any clearance issues?
4. Any safety issues?
5. How do these A/T's ride and handle on city streets and the freeway?

Size 1 below is the Ford OEM tire size which comes mounted on Ranger OEM 17X8 Charcoal wheels.
Size 2 below is the BFG's tire size which is mounted on Ranger OEM 17X8 Charcoal wheels.

Any help would be appreciated!

So i will start by saying you will be just fine. It will not void warranty. TPMS is compatible with any tire. Thankfully others on this forum have confirmed that size will fit with no lift or leveling kit with the factory wheels.

How will it handle on the street? It will hamdle like any other BFG on the street. As long as you are not going crazy you will be good. Also it is a little more tham the load rangr you need to look at as there is the load index to be considered as that will tell you a little more of the stiffness of the tire.

Hope this helps

Check BFGs website. They have all the sizes of their tires listed. The height and width of a tire changes from manufacturer to manufacturer it seems even though they may tell you it's the same size tire.

1. It will not void the warranty.
2. TPMS will work fine.
3. This brand, model and size have been used on many Rangers without any clearance issues.
4. The tire and size are safe.
5. They will handle fine. If your stock tires are standard load, then expect a slightly rougher ride with the LT type tires. If you have the optional LT type tires, then the ride will be about the same.

edit: Don't expect better MPG.
