Ordered a 2021 Supercab XL 4X4 today! This will be the keeper that gets towed to the salvage yard after my 1 year-old grandson graduates from med school:

Carbonized Grey
101A high pkg
STX package
STX SE Package
Trailer Towing
FX4
Copilot 360
Securicode Keypad
Spray in Bedliner, Splashguards, Carpet, All weather floor liners w/o carpet mats (factory)
3M Paint Protect film, Heated front seats (dlr)

Basically, it wound up being an XLT but with the 18" new style STX SE wheels, which I wanted vs the 17" Magnetics. The Special Edition pkg also adds a lot of other XLT features. We took a demo drive down a couple of third world-duty roads and SWMBO & I were both impressed with how smooth it rode, even with the FX4 package. Made a couple hard stops to see if I could get it to bounce; nothing. Maybe they tweaked the shock valving for '21.
ETA mid April-early May. I'm already pacing the floor!

Congrats on the truck! I just bought a ‘21 and also haven’t noticed the “bouncy” I had read so much about. I am also curious if they have tweaked the formula in the ‘21’s, or maybe the bounce develops after some break in of the shocks?

My 2021 Lariat 4x4 SCrew FX4 does not have the terrible bouncy ride I have read about. It is somewhat wallowy with too much motion, but not at the level I have read about. Some of my tipsy-ness is due to a high mounted RTT. I still plan to replace the rear shocks soon.

Mine is also a Carbonized Gray, which is beautiful color :)

Hi Rob,

There is a possibility that the shocks, front or rear, or both were tweaked. No change at Ford goes without a part number bump, so a search of the part number of a 2020 vs a 2021 on the shocks would indicated a tweak. Maybe someone with the time can research this.... The FX4 was geared to off road performance when I created the suspension behind the decal....not on road so much.

Best,

Put my order in on a Lariat Tremor early Jan with expected eta of 3/29.

Anyone ordered and received their 2021? Was curious how long it took after ordering and how your liking it?
That seems fast. Wow! GL...

My carbon grey 2021 above was an order in late Oct. It was at the dealer 1/20. Ford did not start building 2021s until early-mid Dec.
