Last week, the City Council passed a resolution that will gradually ban the sale of petroleum-based diesel fuel within city limits starting in 2024, a national first. By 2030, the city will require stations to sell only diesel made from low-carbon, renewable sources, such as used cooking oil or animal tallow, aka grease.

Not a bad idea........ If the vehicle can run on it without problems....... I dont have a great knowledge on Diesel, but I do know the system has to be able to accept the fuel since Diesel fuel has lubricating properties that are needed.

All these bans and restrictions to replace everything with electric everything all reminds me of an issue back in the early 80's in California when the debate to save fish by restricting water usage by farmers.
You'd see bumper stickers "I Don't Need the Farmer. I Get My Food From the Grocery Store".
