Pine sap removal

What do people use for pine sap removal? I got a few spots of sap and I used to use rubbing alcohol to take it off, but I’d like to not worry about my paint.

Alcohol won't hurt the paint and I think WD40 might work, but clean it off and rewax after.

WD40, Pam cooking spray or a small amount of lighter fluid on a microfiber towel will remove it. Lighter fluid is the best at removing stubborn adhesive too. It definitely won’t F up your paint

I would love to, but these trees are enormous and literally feet from my house. I’ll have to have them taken down someday though.

Tar remover should work. Clean and wash after. Then add layer of protection.

I've had good luck with Goo Gone for removing debris, like pine pitch. Give it a good quick hand wash and then work on removing the pitch, to help prevent grinding road grime into your paint.

Thanks everyone, I washed it today and it’s in the garage. I’ll try alcohol tomorrow and then another wash/wax

I have a tree in my yard that always gets sap and other crap all over my truck. Clay bar is the best thing to use in my opinion. It helps to have a layer of sealant or wax too after you clay bar. Then you can go out there every now and then with a quick detailer and wipe up any new sap droppings before they really have a chance to stick and dry.

Care full with anything stronger than goo gone, once upon a time i used a solvent based product and it took the clear coat right off, which I didnt notice for some time, but then it bugs the crap out of ya.

Agree.
industrial goo gone if left on long can soften clear coat. I found out on a wheel.

Hand sanitizer (with alcohol) works for me every time.

Alcohol worked for me followed by a wash and wax at the automatic wash.
