I searched and didn't see a thread on this. Might be helpful for people looking to get into a ranger if there is a place that they can reference similar builds and see what payload rating they're going to end up with. No good having a 7500# tow rating if you have so many options that you blow past your payload before you even get the trailer hooked up. So, post up your payload stickers and your factory build. (Note: Its not a bad idea to redact your VIN and Barcode) I'll lead with:

Yes, I realize that. Hence the thread. Looking to help guide people make the right choice when choosing their truck. Keeps you from winding up with situations like a friend of mine that bought an F150 fully loaded Lariat only to find out he's out of payload just putting his family in it and a few things in the bed, before he even hooks the trailer to it. His fullsize has less payload than my Ranger (Granted its only a few pounds, but it is 1678# to my 1711#. Potato Potahto)

you mean people actually pay attention to weights?
Well, not the vast majority of the people out there walking around and towing things. It's probably a decent enough idea to though...maybe, or maybe not. What do engineers know? I'm sure once upon a time someone towed a 40' 5th wheel with a 1985 S10 (Across a billiard table flat warehouse floor) and didn't kill or maim anyone and the truck was 'just fine' afterward .?‍♂

Technically only the part over 150# of me, so if I were reduced to just bones, I'd not count towards to total!

I'd like to see someone with the LT tire option to see how much (+/-) their payload differs. I know a lot of things with the truck depend on what tires it came with (like the governor, etc).

Just noticed your tire pressure says 35psi with the 265-65-17 tires. Do the 2wd trucks run higher pressure? My sticker says 30psi with the same tires.

Don't have a good answer for that one. I'm assuming you have the factory tow package? That's the only way I could think they would spec a lower pressure is if that wasn't on the truck as a factory option, that that would be a WAG on my part.

Not my sticker. Posted by someone here earlier.

Not at the truck for a picture, but it’s 1823lbs. Cost $27,214. 2021 XLT 2wd, supercab. I put pencil to paper and determined I needed 1800lbs payload, and 7000lbs towing. Then I scoured the market to find out my cheapest option. Then I looked at the XL and XLT base package and determined the base XLT was best for my needs with only a few options.
