POR15 seems like the best product, but Im not sure it’s saving me any steps over what I’ve done before. I’ll have to look into it more. Thx
May not save steps but you won't have to do it again for many many years.

May not save steps but you won't have to do it again for many many years.
I wire brushed a total rusted trailer frame over 30 years ago and applied por 15 then rustoleum spray paint. A little faded now but not one spec of rust after sitting outside all that time.

I haven’t ruled that out yet. Looks like I’m not going to get out easy on the labor regardless of the method.
