Any word on LED puddle lights for the Lariat?

Just did the install with the Amazon LEDs in the puddles and they make a big difference. No more ugly yellow and barely bright on the ground look. I'll check out how they look tonight.

Just tried the puddles in the garage.
Really bright. Maybe a bit too bright but so much of an improvement over the stock yellow dim crappy lighting.

Hey guys! I have an XLT with no puddle lights. I see an outline of where the puddle lights should go. Has anyone cut the plastic and installed the lights? Is the wiring inside the mirror housing? I would love to have the puddle lights on my truck! Thanks!

I wonder if you pop the top mirror cover off and see if you find any wires. (that's how I changed the bulb in the turn signal to LED on my Lariat) If so then you should be able to tap in and power them. Check the wires for power off/on when open the doors and close.

I will try that this weekend and report back, thanks for the suggestion!

The only problem is that hole for the puddle lights isn't simply a hole, it has a lip to it where the lights snap into... maybe it won't matter... I'd take a similar piece of plastic and cut the hole then see how flush the puddle lights fit or what you might have to do to make it work.

When will the low beam dust covers be developed? When will LED high beam be available?
