Off topic, but what do you think of the new Vintage Broncos?

Personally, I think they're great. I like that the fact they're basically admitting that classic designs never die. I expect even if you have the $$$ then getting hold of one will be challenging.

That was the main reason I wanted 2dr Bronco. They were very close to looking like the old vintage ones I never got a chance to own. Looks like I still won't get a chance seeing as it's been 3+ years since my reservation and still nothing. Oh well on to the next new toy. Oh look....A Ranger Raptor! ?

Never been a fan of the new bronco design at all to be honest. Those "bronco" sport variants look decent enough though.

And they're not admitting to anything, some overpaid marketing jackass found a niche for a small population that will get ford more money. Now with that said, I do like the soft blue. Makes me wish the ranger had more color options, but thats a global thing.

So did you reserve one of these vintage editions?

My company bought me a 1972 Bronco for surveying lines for Bonneville Power around the Seattle area. It was 302 with 3 on the tree, as I recall. Noisy, drafty, drove squirrely on the highway due to the short wheel-base I think. But that sucker could crawl around the back country two tracks like nothing else I had ever driven. Hated leaving it behind when I got transferred out.

I initially really liked them and entertained the idea of getting one.

Then Ford did a disastrous roll out and I pretty much lost all interest in them.

That said, if Ford decides to build the Bronco pickup...

Then I have a few words for Ford...

No I had one of the original orders from 10/14/2020. Now I've lost interest in them and maybe one day I'll get one but now I'm trying for a Ranger Raptor.

My dad had a 69 same setup 302 3 speed, no a/c. Fun to drive but bare bones. But like you said it would go anywhere. His had posi front and back and manual steering. Lock the hubs, 4 low and hang on with both hands!

I do like the 2 doors. They look nice. Sport or 4 door, nope. And a manual trans? Sold!

Local dealer has delivered a few of the Bronco Raptors as of late. Two of them sit regularly at the local medical specialists center.
