After spending some time getting her ready for sale, I sold my trusty 2000 XLT SuperCab yesterday on C/List.
The posting response was fantastic, I received 6 inquiries in just an hour and sold it to the second party who drove it.
The "nursery" (a carport) is now ready for the stork's arrival next month, she'll be pampered as much as her predecessor, but used for it's intended purpose, a truck.
Attached are images of it which I took on Wednesday, a typical Hawaiian December day, temperature about 76 degrees, blue skies and bright sunlight.
Just food for thought for those who are freezing in the other 49.
:)

Congrats on selling it so fast! :like: Looks like someone got themselves a really nice clean Ranger. I have all my old truck window stickers and it's amazing at what the cost was back then. Looking forward to seeing your newborn next month.

Thanks for the kind remarks sir,
Both parties which drove her were amazed that it still felt solid despite its age, as the odometer shows, she had super low mileage.
Nevertheless, it is still a testament to the design, engineering, and toughness of Ford pickups and the reason why I'll own no other truck, electric or not.

Wow, I had that exact same truck in Titanium Gray. I traded it in on a new Mustang GT in 2009 with 135,000 miles.

Aloha, shaka bruh, you kept it well just like my 20yo Tundra I just sold. Here, my new one sits all cozy in the garage while the mornings lately are in the 20s.
Nothing wrong with a little pampering. Don't forget more pictures when it arrives.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did they give you on trade?

I suggest a full ban
Well, I spoke too soon...
The entire island chain is now under a high wind warning with gusts up to 60 mph, add rain to the equation and that makes for downright frigid temperatures...about 65 degrees with the wind chill factor, brrrr...lol.

Indeed, the guy's wife wanted to go look at a used (of all things) Colorado and (worse yet) a Ram 1500, then decide on which one to buy.
After the second party bought it I texted him and told him I just sold it, I think he wanted to kick himself...
"Snooze, you lose"...lol

Oh man, I don't remember now. That was almost 10 years ago. That truck was a great truck and my wife and I took it when we got married, Vegas, baby...

Im also happy for you that your new trucks only a month away. (I hope)
production has evened out somewhat since I placed my order back before they started rolling down the plant, and what my dealer suggested as a delivery date was actually 4 months sooner than they actually delivered. They said january...turned out to be april. I'm glad i didnt sell a vehicle in preparations....
Talk about a loooong wait.
I did sell my van in December...ended up riding my R1200GSA until April 28 Ranger delivery date...it was a long wet cold winter...LOL
