On the east coast New Bern area. Contemplating a move west to the mountains - Asheville / Boone area. Getting tired of hurricanes.

I've lived all over the state, including New Bern. Right downtown.

I prefer the mountains as well!

@mrsmith I've driven through Charlotte a time or two, seems nice enough place. Good thing you were not in New Bern last year when Florence rolled through. They got hit pretty hard, not as bad as some places but a lot of water came in.

@BabaBooey I did not make to Blowing Rock yet but did see Grandfather Mtn, Chimney Rock, Rainbow Falls and some other nice places. Very pretty country over there. Bet it is nice with the leaves about to change.

Was really impressed with how well the Ranger did in the tight, twisty roads within the parks and other places. No need to stop, back up and try again to make the hairpin turns. Also the power and ease that it went up and down the hills. The section of I-40 near Black Mtn / Old Fort with the extra lane for tractor trailers... I had no idea of the elevation change until my ears felt the pressure changes.

@Mantis Raleigh / Durham is nice as well. Lived there some too.

@Leo.c Not been to Fayetteville area yet.

Charlotte has turned into a huge transplant city. Its rare to find people from here and has its growing pains like any other growing metropolis, but its got some charm to it.

I'm taking the Ranger from CLT to Cincinnati this weekend. Looking forward to driving up 40 thru the twisty roads!

Sounds like you have a bit of a drive ahead of you @mrsmith . Hope you have a good and safe trip. I grew up not too far from Cinci. Been a few decades since I was there last. Am sure it has changed a lot since then. My family moved to NC long ago.

Still have fond memories of going to Bengals games to see Boomer and Anderson throwing. Watching Pete Rose and Johnny Bench playing for the Reds. A few Stingers hockey games. Some WEBN fireworks shows on the river, Oktoberfest downtown. Good times, good memories.

South Durham here. Just drove to Asheboro today to pick up my new Ranger. Took rt 64 and you really have to watch your speed so no fun on my maiden voyage back home. But in love with the truck! So many bells and whistles. :like:

Winston-Salem area here. Don't see to many Rangers out on the roads, but i'm sure there will be more. There's only about 3 so far in Winston-Salem that I've constantly seen.
