Received my White Knuckle sliders today. Got them late in the day, but I was still able to get them on with a little light left. Happy so far, I'll take a closer look in the sun tomorrow :)

Packed super well with multiple layers, cling wrap, and tape:

The top plates are bolt-on, didn't expect that but I'm cool with it:

Not in the instructions, on the FX4 you need to remove this skid plate, easy enough to do:

Finished drivers side:

Finished Passenger:

Took me a little over an hour to do by myself using an ATV jack to hold up the slider as I positioned it.

Some more photos now that it's day time. These have a slight (15 degree) angle to them and stay about 1/2" to 1" away from the pinch weld.

@589FAB hidden winch mount came in today! Just need the winch and intrusion beams and I'll be ready to get the front end taken care of while I wait for the Radflos to come in.

20210506_035613278_iOS.jpg

I was rather surprised to see a "Fragile Handle With Care" sticker on something from 589 Fabrication.

20210506_035213517_iOS.jpg

My guess is they don't want to leave it to chance that it gets beat up in shipping. This thing was packed in there snug as a bug in a rug.

20210506_035358880_iOS.jpg

Here it is in all it's glory. I feel you can tell a lot about a company based on how they ship things. These folks take pride in their work, I'm excited to try it out :)

Would you reccomend the upgraded lights over just upgrading the bulbs? I have the bulbs now but can't decide if I like the look of the actual housing as a whole.

I didn't try just bulbs in the Ranger. I had bulbs in my Forester XT and I liked them fine; but I'm loving the headlights. Seeing that cutoff line from the Luxx makes me happy :D. I love the look, way better than the halogen housings I had previously, and I've gotten used to the little start up sequence on this version.

Last time I checked the Morimotos were supposed to come out in May (I didn't want to wait), so you might have even more options soon.

Just realized I forgot to post here when I added the Alpha Rex headlights :)

Such a sexy housing. I went with the black Luxx series and the appearance is awesome.

Won't be the last time I tear the front apart... :D

The lift is going to take a while due to supply delays. That said some of the parts are trickling in. The wheels and tires came in and I couldn't just let them sit in the garage so I figured I’d see how much they rub and if the Ready Lift high clearance intrusion beams could handle stock height with 285/70R17 KO2s.

I went to work taking off the front bumper using ADD's stealth bumper install guide as a reference. I'd like to remove the beams without cutting if possible.

2F0F65AF-F75E-4B6C-87D1-1FA19C1F64BE.jpeg

With the stock crash beams there’s basically no room in the front. So, I added the front Ready Lift.

469E23A6-F8CC-4DD7-B6B8-9003B5048AA6.jpeg

The ready lift beams make a huge difference. The front isn't an issue just sitting any more(no testing don on flex).

Now I need to get the back taken care of, the tires hit pretty quickly when turning. Probably do that tomorrow.

35D82F4D-7927-40E4-8E3C-1EC010C63797.jpeg

While the bumper was off I added the Baja Designs fogs and took off the little front air damns in front of the tires. I was hoping to add the winch too, but that keeps getting delayed. Truck looks pretty mean; can't wait for the rest of the parts to get here ?

Tackled changing the rear intrusion beams to the ReadyLift high clearance ones today. I didn't have to cut anything (front or rear), and the tires basically fit. There's some rubbing on the fender liner at full lock, but I expect that'll be gone once the lift gets here.
20210516_193002280_iOS.jpg

Started by removing all the fender liner pins and the torx screw at the bottom of the fender.

20210516_193013579_iOS.jpg

Reach behind the felt liner and push out the plastic clips holding the fender trim on.

20210516_193027500_iOS.jpg

Take the clip out from the felt fender liner under the fender trim

20210516_193150804_iOS.jpg

Pull the felt fender liner all the way out of the way to make work easier.

20210516_193648851_iOS.jpg

Take out the plastic block.

20210516_193907012_iOS.jpg

With everything out of the way, it barely doesn't make it.

20210516_194025615_iOS.jpg

I unscrewed the two bolts at the bottom of the fender, not sure if this helped or not.

20210516_194112341_iOS.jpg

Using a deadblow hammer, slightly bend the edge of the fender inward. Doesn't need much! Once bent in, pull on the intrusion beam as you push on the fender, once it's past the corner you can wiggle it out.

20210516_195429195_iOS.jpg

Put everything back and button it up.

20210516_221506714_iOS.jpg

Added the fender flares, adjusted the headlights, and should be good to go. As mentioned, it does slightly rub on the felt fender liner at full lock but not bad for 285/70R17 with 0 lift :D I'll drive it around and if it rubs too much I'll switch back to stock tires until the lift gets here, but I'm pretty hopeful.

Looks good and thank you for the details on the rear beam removal with pictures. I need to do this but have no way to cut them, so this helps.

Glad to help, and happy I didn't have to cut anything for the front or rear.

Added dash tray mount from Built Right Industries today. So far I’m happy, it'll be nice to have place for my phone that's out of the way but easy to check (for maps).

55A8D87F-5FC0-4691-862D-8E6B2320BDFE.jpeg

I mounted the tray toward the windshield which caused an issue with the bolts running into the mounting surface in the truck. Easy fix though, just mounted the back two bolts upside down and all is well. You can’t really see the nuts since they’re under the tray.

I didn't take a lot of pictures of this change, but I added a rough country 9500 synthetic line winch, 589 Fabrication hidden winch plate, and ADD adaptive cruise control relocation.

For the ADD adaptive cruise control I used 3" stainless bolts with two 1" spacers (painted black) to lower the mount closer to the bottom of the grill. You can see the sensor below the "R" and "D" in the image below. I was able to separate the wiring and had enough length so I didn't have to splice any wires (yet). I haven't moved it to the center yet, I'll try that if I run into any issues with the sensor.

Overall happy for now. I expect I'll change this up once I find a bumper with a winch that I like for the ranger.

Next I'll be adding a thimble to the winch line once I get the lift complete.
