Hi all

2020 Ranger Lariat FX4

Looking to do Nomad 17x8.5 + 25 MM on Falken Wild Peak AT4 ( 265/ 70/ R17). I would prefer to keep stock height, and I am seeing conflicting write ups on if this will work on stock suspension. Especially with a different offset from stock. Anyone have experience with this? Will this setup rub? Do I need to just do the 2 inch level? Any advice/ help would be appreciated

I just bought this 2023 Lariat FX4. The tires are the same size you mentioned. The wheels are a mystery so far, probably came from Discount Tire, no offset known, but no rubbing at all. The selling dealer told me it had no lift/level kit.

This is my 19 XLT 4x4 with stock suspension running factory rims and 265 70 17 Firestone Destination AT2 tires and have had no rubbing issues.

I have a set of 17x8.5 Method 305 with +25 offset on my Tremor with stock General Grabbers 265/70/17. I believe it is 0.8" lifted compared to your FX4. I had to change the crash bars for the Readylift for mor clearance. Rear bars were very close, but no rubbing. But the front needed to be changed for sure.

I assume you would have to at least change de front crash bar.

Strange question do you know if it has crash bars on your model?

Got a call from my local off road shop and they said some rangers don’t have the crash bars. Do you now if yours have them I haven’t heard that but I have seen a lot of mileage will vary, thanks for the reply!

Sorry if this is a hijack, but I snapped these front corner undercarriage pics, perhaps I can learn from you if I have these bars? If not, it shows clearance.

I know, right? I’ve been researching for 5 years. I watched the GM twins come out crew only, I watched the Ranger 6g come out “no extended cab for now”, and when the ‘25’s were crew only I realized I was buying used. I would like to go back in time and pony up the extra $5k it took to buy this truck new 2 years ago, oh well.

Thanks for the ID on the wheels. For the community, the tires are Cooper Discoverer ATP LT265/70/17, kind’ve a Discount Tire specialty. The Vision Spyder milled are also at Discount Tire, in 17x9 size and 12mm offset. That’s a good guess at what these are.

265/70-17's were a factory optional size in 2019-2020. I have a 1.5" level from Truxxx but they fit fine before.
