I got the Rough Country leveling kit, and I plan on keeping the stock 18in Lariat wheels and I want to add the biggest tires that will fit with this set up. I see there is not a lot of room in the front and I dont think the size I want is going to fit - 275/70 18. Does anyone know what size I can go up to without rubbing with this leveling kit? 265/70 18 possibly?

Thanks

This is what I figured would fit without any modifications to the suspension on a FX4.

The issue here is where the tire can make contact with a plastic push pin cover for the front crash bar. The overall tire height is the issue here. You really should stay as close to or slightly under 32 inches.
• 275/70R18 ends up at 34.2 tall and 10.8 wide.
• 265/70R18 ends up at 32.6 tall and 10.4 wide.
A 275/65R18 ends up at 32.1 tall and 10.8 wide and is probably going to be the closest thing you can get provided the tires aren't overly aggressive. If you have a Trail Grappler or Open Country tire, you might want to drop a little more at 265/65R18 which will put you at 31.6 high and 10.4 wide.

Thanks guys. I'm actually thinking about the Terra Grappler or the BFG K02s. I'm just wondering if I will be happy with a 65 tire since it's not a big difference from the 60 that I currently have.

Actually after looking at 275/65 18 online i think it is probably going to be the closest to the appearance I'm looking for without going with a full lift and different wheels. Now I just have to decide on tires and pull the trigger! Thanks again.

I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my F150 and I love them. They look amazing and I get comments all the time on their aggressive look.

All larger tires are heavy so you can expect a hit on mpgs and performance due to the unsprung weight.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that.

Awesome, thanks man.

At the recommendation of some technicians at work I decided on the Toyo Open Country AT2 and I'm going to go with 275/65 18. Thanks again, y'all.

Im going with the Nitto Ridge Grappler's but I need some help from those who have a level kit on the truck. My options are 265/70R17 or 285/70/R17. Stock tire size is 30.6", 265's are 31.65" and 285's are 32.76". Question is, with a 2.5" level and removal of the crash bar and aero segment will the 32.76" tire fit?

I was planning on the same upgrades. Probably a 265/70/17 for me though. Still waiting to see if anyone has done this yet, specifically on the stock wheels.
