Since Ford saw fit not to provide side molding or even accessory molding for the Sup Cab, made my own.
Between parking lot perverts and upcoming camping trips, felt the need for them.
2 inch wide from Cowles via Amazon....
Just drivers side for today.
Whadda ya think ???

I think it looks great. Nice work. Be nice to see a close up of the end cuts at the front and at the door. Also what profile you used.

Had to use a pair of Fisker shears to cut it. Can't cut it with anything that will not cut in one stroke or ends come out crooked.
End cuts are just straight cut, and molding is about 1/4 inch thick and tapers to the edge.
Tried to round off edge but it's thick vinyl and doesn't sand well. I can live with it as long as it protects, and from 10 feet away you can't really see the ends.
When I do the other side I may see if a belt sander will nock the sharp edge off.

One thing about focused well lit pictures. It doesn't tell a lie. Nice job putting that on. Looks like it belongs there! For rounding the edges. Use one of your wives nail files. Slow and easy and you can shape them the way you want. Nice job!

Now you have me thinking, wonder if I can find paint matched guards like this. It's a war zone out there...

maybe a stupid question but could you use a table saw to get a clean cut?

I did see the side moldings you all listed, but $$$$ and only 1 1/4 inch wide. I wanted something more "robust", and it was only $33 for 16 feet, from Amazon. $138 for the "custom stuff" For $105.00, I'll live with the black.
Ban saw might be OK, but don't have one I do have one of those very fine tooth "Japanese" type pull saws, and may give it a try on a scrap piece...may be able to give the edges a bevel.
Getting it straight was biggest worry, over the cut edges. Can always re-do if I find the other side comes out better...3M tape, comes off with a heat gun.
