I was really stoked to hear that the MyCal will now turn off when the truck is turned off. The lack of a switch was/is the only thing I don’t like about it. After reading your update I went right out and updated my device to make sure all is up to date. Problem is it still will not turn off when the ignition is off. What am I missing??
Something I noticed is I have to leave it in the truck. After about two ignition cycles it will do this.

I just drove it and cycled the ignition several times and it still stays on even after waiting 5 minutes. I will reach out to Livernois and see what they say about it. I actually sent them email back when I bought it about the need for a switch to power off the unit.

Just be aware it will take some time. I have about a 35 mile drive to work and if I just plugged it the thing in first thing in the morning it will stay on for a little bit. I don't constantly watch it because I don't need to. By the time I go to my truck when it's lunch time it might be on but after I go to get lunch it will turn itself off. I just got home and I'm going to see what it does. Be aware that whatever battery power it is using isn't much. My truck still starts very strong even after letting the truck sit for 11 hours from the time I got to work to the time that I left with it staying on all day.

I reached out to Livernois concerning the MyCal not powering down when the truck is turned off. Today they rolled out a newer firmware update v1.213 that shuts down after 20 minutes of no button presses in any screen except gauges. Or it also shuts down after 30 sec of gauges menu with no engine running.

I updated my firmware today and it worked. I had the gauges up, turned off the truck, watched as all the gauges went to zero and after a few seconds the MyCal shut down. Really awesome add to the MyCal device.

Since it's a firmware update and not a tune update, I tried updating mine but got an exception/no go. Maybe I have to wait for the tune to be sent to me.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Sorry for the delayed response, I've been getting a couple hundred new tuner requests per day lately which has made it tougher to find time to get on here. I saw the mention of the new firmware update to improve the auto power down mode on the tuner, but I can see one of the guys already shared my response to them on here, so that's very much for that. The old method required the battery voltage to drop below 12.4v after the ignition was off before the tuner would power down and since most of you guys have newer trucks the battery can take a long time at a rest to drop low enough. SO they've updated them now and anyone with our tuner just needs to run the Mycal app using the latest version and if they are on an older firmware version than v1.213 it will apply this update to your tuner to add the new improvements.

So for those who have had this installed, how does it drive?

Looking at the dyno chart on the Livernois page, it looks like about 360HP and 450TQ which should make this truck a rocket.

It drives pretty well!!!!! I have the high octane tune(91-93) and the power is outstanding!!!! A few days ago I was on a dirt road in 4wd and decided to power brake it and launch. Befor I let off the brakes it started to brake loose.

I just received my tune request by email. Not just a "here it is" message. Awesome instructions, and clear answer to my questions, and offer to assist/help/answer any other questions. Just wanted to make my experience thus far, public. Here is my response to the message.

"Awesome! Your response sums up why I chose y'all over all the other choices--customer service, after sale support, flexibility, continued development! I could go on, but I've got a new toy to play with. :muscle: "

Hoping mine is delivered this week. The improvements in power should be great, but I think I am just as anxious for the transmission updates

The one thing you will like too is you can go ANYWHERE with this tune!!!! No need for the high altitude tuning like 5 Star!!!
