So I logged into my FordPass app a few days ago and it had a notice at the top saying the vehicle software was being updated and that I wouldn’t have certain controls for 10 minutes. 3 days later and I still have that notice. I even connected it to my home WiFi to try to speed up the process.
I looked at the vehicle settings today and my modem esn is blank. I’m getting dtc’s in the APIM saying it lost connection to the TCU and a dtc in the TCU stating it has an internal failure. I tried a master reset in the settings of sync3 as well as unplugging the battery without success.
So much for automatic updates! I think I’ll be turning off automatic updates after I get this fixed at the dealership. System says it’s running sync 3.3 build 9052 I think.
Has anyone else had this issue after an update?
