So today I went to the local tire place and installed Michelin DEFENDER LTX M/S 265/ 65/18

Pictures coming soon. I wanted to put a more aggressive tread and top branded tires. Came down to Pirelli and Mich

I paid $987 all in. I was going to get 275s but the addition of an inch is not worth any possible issues,

Rides great, Looks great, It's not overdone. If it were a 4WD I would go even more aggressive and redo the crash bars to make 33's fit My truck is a GT not a OR LOL.

I'll probably sell the take-offs for $50 each ( 2500 miles on them)

Those seen to be really popular in my area. They look like they're even pretty decent for snow. Looks like you won't have much experience with that though.

Be glad you didn't get the Pirelli's. Our parts guy was rolling a set out to the shop today and gave me a chance for a close up. Nice work on the tread pattern, but very flimsy sidewalls. I suspect early edge wear and cupping.
The Michelin's on the other hand are the cat's ass. Bar none a superior tire. Enjoy that great ride.
Just put the Defenders on the wife's Camry. So glad I did that.

So I have the Hankook dynaPro stock 18 in 4x4

I’m looking for a less AT like tire but good in snow. To boost ride and maybe mpg.
Looking at the Defender and Goodyear WeatherReady

just was afraid they would be out of place on a truck.
