My truck has done this twice, and both times were after it sat for a few days. Once during a cold snap last winter and this summer when camping. This summer while camping, I didn't start the truck for 2 days, but probably opened and shut the doors 100 times to get things out. I guess eventually I crossed a threshold.

The weird part is that both times when I started with this message, the truck's warning tones (door open, back-up beeps, etc) played through a speaker in the cluster instead of through the audio system. It switched back the next time I started the truck, but the sound and location is so different that it throws you off.

My truck regularly sits for a week (it's literally becoming the "only driven to church on Sunday" vehicle) and I've never seen this error.

My battery was replaced under warranty a year ago, but it was because the Auto Stop Start was no longer stop/starting.

Maybe it just got replaced before it got to the point of delivering this message?

Definitely now going to go find the Forscan setting for bumping it up to 90% capacity.

Thank you all very much for your answers so far only the message, let's hope it doesn't happen to me that I have to call the tow truck.

Is yoru truck under warranty for the battery? I had mine replaced about 6 months ago because I would drive an hour, get out, lock it, and get the "remote start disabled" - clearly the battery wasn't holding a charge.

The dealer argued and tried to tell me the battery holding 12.1v meant it was still good ?

I have never had that message on the screen, but did get the 'going to sleep' message on FordPass after the truck sat for 2 weeks while we were out of state. I upped the battery DOC from 75% to 90% and haven't seen it since.

I get them all the time but then it's been more frequent due to the ranger no longer my daily.
