Different degrees will give you more or less surface area. You may be ? correct? I just know that I run McGards on every vehicle I’ve owned since the late 70’s including my 2010 F150 (with 98k miles)that I traded in on my Ranger and I never had any issues. Iv always ordered direct from McGard for specific vehicles. It's not the angle, but the surface area. McGards do not have a flange, and the cone has ~50% less seating face to engage the rim.
