The high voltage battery has an 8 year warranty so I really don’t see it as an issue. Some may but I don’t. I would worry more about the gas engine and transmission of a non hybrid. Just saying either one of those are way more expensive than the battery at 2200 bucks. It’s not a large pure EV battery that’s 10k plus. I really do understand the concern and hesitancy.I'd get the Maverick. They seem to be relatively trouble-free. I wouldn't get a hybrid though, due to the cost of replacing the battery. Unless you're going to lease it, then it won't matter.
Get the Maverick, we’re enjoying our hybrid Maverick and 38.9 mpg real world after 19500 miles. It’s well planted and corners better than my Ranger. I have both Ranger and Maverick so just like OP I can enjoy 2 sets of options.
