Looking good MsMy brother?
I would bet it stands out and is very noticeable to you because you applied it and know it's there. I'm the same way about my vehicles and most people never notice the small things I nitpick over.Has anyone figured out how to do the touch up paint for our magnetic paint well. I was hoping the factory paint applied would look better than this.
Trust me it doesn't look good or like it should. The metallic paint is a bitch to match. If someone has figured a better way please let me know!!!! This soft paint needs bandaids at times. Cheers!I would bet it stands out and is very noticeable to you because you applied it and know it's there. I had some good luck with what I had to patch up with Ford magnetic gray touch-up paint. When installing the snorkel on my truck, I was riveting a bracket onto the passenger a-pillar when the rivet tool bounced off the a-pillar and left a pretty good scratch. I was amazed with how well the touch up paint matched. And I was happy the touched up area was under the snorkel!Trust me it doesn't look good or like it should. Hey, I did all the wet sanding and leveling just couldn’t get the paint to blend well. Factory paint is too light it seemed even with putting some clear coat on at the end. The color just doesn’t match just right.I had some good luck with what I had to patch up with Ford magnetic gray touch-up paint. One thing that may help blend the touch up paint into the area is to wet sand the paint to get it level with the paint around it. It may not appear to match well because usually it applies with a little of a domed shape to it. This will cause it to reflect light differently than the surrounding paint. Or course, wet sanding to level it will take special care and effort lest you damage the paint around it.
Love the Flags!Hi guys! I’m part of the Magnetic Ranger club now.
