I sort of like the lower grill inserts I've seen from Putco, but I wanted slightly tighter spacing in the holes, and wanted to see if I could build something myself. I started with a piece of galvanized grill material I bought at Lowes for $10.99. I used some cardboard to make a template for both the left and right side (I have the adaptive cruise control) and then I cut and bent up the grill material to fit my template. A quick coat of primer and paint, then cussed my way through getting them installed (I put 3 screws into each one - one on the upper part, 2 on the lower part.. it was tight working in there, but managed it). I am really happy with how they turned out. What do you guys think?
