Lower the rear end of my 2019 FX4

I hardly if ever tow anything and maybe put 500 pounds in the bed of my 2019 FX4 but I'd like to lower the rear end to make it somewhat more level. (and maybe ride softer/smoother?) Anyone have any suggestions?

Easier to level the truck by raising the front a couple of inches. Back in the day we would lower small trucks by mounting the rear axle above the leaf springs and installing drop spindles in the front.

On the F 150's you can get lowering shackles to level your 4WD, which I ended up doing on mine - but on a Ranger, your only option is to raise the front end.

Custom made rear leaf springs. Flat tires, smaller tires, no tires! Sadly the shackles prevent easy options on these

Not cheap or easy but an option i think another company makes a lowering kit.

It’s not as easy as you might think. The easiest way is either level lifting or a lowering kit.

Lifting the front up will do what you want. I went with Eibach Pro Truck on my FX4 and they are better than I expected.4 settings, 0, +.75, +1.5, +2.25 and +3. I went with the +75 and really like it. Smoothed out the back a lot. Improved handling on the twisty mountain road that I run twice a week and handling over fire roads and pot holes is vastly improved. Photo with 265/70R17

You can have the rear springs de-arched, most any spring shop can do it, I had 1.5" taken out of them, it was cheap, $135 you do have to shorten the bump stops and you most likely will have to adjust the pinon angle.

It dropped the tailgate height when open almost 3" it helped for loading my heavy 130# ebike.

Rangers are difficult to lower in the back, no room for shorter shackles, not much room to relocate the spring perches, the springs are the only way to lower a small amount, otherwise it's a spring flip.
