You know, I am not sure. I would call them and ask. I believe you are correct, but not 100%

Will do! What did you use It for? Just to switch between different tunes and flash back to stock if necessary?

I keep the low octane performance tune in it. Much better performance, better shifts, better MPG. I throw the tow tune in when needed.

Can also use the hardware part to read error codes and change tire size. Came in handy last time i bought non stock size tires.

I believe you will need to contact Livernois and get them to unlock the tuner from the previous VIN. This will cost you, I have heard around $300. After that I believe the tunes are included.
