I've noticed this half a dozen times or so that my light control knob will shift from "Auto" to the "On" position (one click to the left) when I hit a bump in the road or some type of other rough road. Has anyone else had this happen? Not sure if those knobs can be tightened or just deal with it.

not from what you describe, but I do constantly hit my left knee on it as I get into the vehicle flipping it to on.

I have not had any issue that I know of but I will pay attention to see if it moves at all when I hit bumps, etc.

I have found mine in the “On” position a few times but not sure it’s bumps. Maybe me hitting it with my knee or hand.

I noticed this before too... caught my knee catching the knob just enough as I got in today. Never felt it, just happened to glance down at the right time. Plenty of space when driving but when entering/exiting I guess I will have to watch closer...

That happened to me yesterday. Not sure what caused it but when I went to get out of my truck it started chiming indicating the lights were still on.

I looked at mine today and it has a fairly strong resistance if you turn to the left for on. I am 5'10 and my knee doesn't come within 18 inches of the knob getting in or out. My seat is moved all the way to the rear position though. I could see if you sat further up maybe. Anyway if you turn the knob a little to the left and let go it should spring back to the auto position.

In my Jeep, the light control is on the left side of the steering wheel as well, and a good 18 inches from my knee.

I still manage to turn the dang lights off every so often. Not sure how, but it happens.
