Installed the 3" Readylift a few weeks ago and let me tell you, it's a chore!! Compressing the springs without a press is difficult due to the bump stops built into the strut. Finally got the wheels and tires installed today. Went with 17x9 -12mm with 295 70 17's Cooper SST PRO's. Next I will add the OEM fender flares. Working on a custom front grill. Hopefully coming over the next month or so. Will need to get the mockup completed. Can't let the cat completely out of the bag yet on the grill yet.

Was it difficult to take off your lower front air dam? I have the Sport 4x4 as well, and hate the plastic piece below the front bumper.
Not at all, just a few bolts and wham, bam, thank you ma'am and it was all over. I think it really cleaned up the front end a little. Now just need to find an FX4 take off skid plate to replace mine.

That blue tire lettering looks cool on your blue truck
I totally agree. I left the shipping soap on the letters to see how it would look. The only option now is to use the blue stencil pins, but I'm afraid it will turn out like a kid in kindergarten with a big ole crayon.

It cleans up the truck so much. Were the bolts underneath and inside the bumper? I took a quick look at my truck over the weekend and could not see too much. Thanks in advance!!
Yea, the bolts are easy to get too. Their just on the edge of the lip, aren't difficult to find. With the air dam off and much bigger tires I've only drop 1mpg. Worth it, most definitely!

Wow that looks awesome complete transformation
I agree, but I didn't stop here. Had to wait for all of my other mods to show up. Just finished up installing the AVS bug shield and window covers, along with a set of Bushwacker fender flares today. Also threw in a nice set of Husky liners front and back that really cleaned up the interior as well. I've gotta take new pics tomorrow when I get time.

A few pics of the bushwacker fender flares, AVS window and bug shield installed. Before mounting the fender flares I put multiple layers of tape between the flare seals and the paint. This will eliminate the paint from becoming sanded overtime. Highly recommend if you choose to go this route.

I think thats one of the best lifts i've seen yet! wheels and tires arent ridiculous and sticking way out past the fenders... and no stupid oversized wheels. Lots of tire protection. Wheels look beefy too.
great job.

Truck looks great. If you have time, could you elaborate on your comment about the flares sanding the paint? How does this happen? Do the flares move?

Thanks.

Yes, the flares will move. They are bolted under the fender wells. The upper part that makes contact with the fender only has a rubber seal. This can easily be breeched overtime with sand and water and this will create the sanding effect from the flares moving or vibrating. You can remove them and clean behind each off road trip but let's be honest that's a pain and nooo one will do it including myself. So tape it was along with a layer of plasti dip for extra protection. Air design claims theirs does not rub but I thought those looked a little fugly on the Rangers. Here is a youtube vid that explains the rubbing over time.

Yes, that's the correct part number. I agree they are banging on the blue. I had the identical wheel on my blue Tacoma TRD. With regard to the wheels, no issues. However, with the 295 70 17's you will have to remove both front and rear crash bars along with the plastic blocks behind the felt, behind the rear crash bars. If you add the fender flares you will have to do light trimming of the inner edges on the rear. Love my setup and take it off road every weekend (getting the dog's in shape for hunting season) now with no issues. Be forewarned the -12's will stick way outside of the fender wells. But I think it's perfect when paired with the flares. Most guys run zero offset and then put on the flares, but the tire tucks under the flares and looks a little goofy in my opinion. I have attached an image of the rear crash bar and plastic blocks removed. Do not cut the felt inner linning. You can use one of the bolts from the plastic blocks and an oversized washer and stretch the liner and lock it in place like I have. Trust me it will not move.

I’m looking to do a very similar build. I want to go with bigger tires but I’m not sure they’ll work. I want to do 315/70r17’s and my wheel is a 17x9 -25. Do you think that is even possible avoiding having to replace the front bumper?
