I have various leather ( fake leather) coming apart in my 2019 XLT. I only have 27k on it. Would warranty do anything about this? Note: my truck was one of the first off the line, as ordered in Sept. '18 and received in Feb. of '19

Center console lid.

A lot of the console lids are doing that. I replaced mine already. I replaced a customer of mine as well took 30 days to get his in. Pictures are not required by Ford for the console lid by the way. No prior approval needed

Unfortunate. My brother has a 19 xlt and the few times I drove it I always felt the padding was lacking. Sure enough in my 20 lariat itā€™s just as bad. And where my elbow rests seems to be the lowest padded section. Rather disappointing considering how that piece gets so much use. Hope you get this fixed.

Yes, definitely a design flaw. I will take a picture today and post also.

My parking brake boot starting splitting like that within two months of ownership. Dealership replaced it under warranty with absolutely no hassle, although it took about a month for the replacement to come in. I'm pretty sure the replacement is a different material, and it shows no damage after 5ish months of use.

Hi Chris,

That is just awful. I do not know the interior trim vendor used for Ranger, but the quality is sub par in many cases....however in your case this is totally unacceptable. Please open up a formal complaint with Ford Customer Care. Send them the picture. This needs to be shoved down the vendor's throat! Sad, Sad, Sad!

Agreed. One would almost expect this sort of thing form a 4-5 year old Chevy these days, but not from a 1 year Ford. I mean really any car should at least hold together at the very least until the factory warranty is out.

Unfourtunly this seems not to be a rare case as the dealer told me, there have been lots of replacements ordered for this. Back-ordered for one and a half months and counting for me.

Mine was to the point where the whole front of my armrest was undone. Warranty approval was no problem but I was warned by the dealer that it has been on backorder for a while now. I ended up recovering mine myself. When I took it apart the only section that actually had staples was the backside. Everywhere else had indentations in the vinyl & the plastic but no staples....no ripping & no broken staples. Very bad quality control!
