Lariat - Factory LED Headlights - Reliability

This is so true, the LED headlights were a deciding factor in getting the Lariat. If I have to go out on the open market and figure this out for myself anyway and loose money doing it why get the Lariat? I understand where the OP is coming from here but I think Ford really messed up o this.

Well my perspective is having my truck for three years I would very disappointed to not have the leds if I traded for a new Lariat Ranger.
Of course I had no idea how good they were until I took purchase and drove at night. The Lariat package loses allot of value without them. One more reason to love my 2019, particularly with my mods.?

Just bit the bullet and ordered a set of Led Light Assy's plus Fogs - Looking forward to install. Looks like labor intensive but worth it for the swap, my current Halo's after driving it around a bit on dark roads I noted that the Low Beams seamed to get washed out by oncoming traffic the High Beams were Great. I drove with Low's and Fogs - The Fog's have great side to side spread but I was getting flashed quite a bit. So, decided that since I ordered the Lariat mainly for the LED's, it just has to be done and I would always want them. It's just depressing that Ford deleted them in the first place

I recently tried a set of Alpharex Novas secondhand from another user on here. I swapped back to my already swapped in Lariat LEDs. The lighting was fine, I just didn't care for the startup sequence and thought the overall look was a bit too far and away from the Ranger's look.

With that being said, if anyone is interested in a set of Alpharex Novas at a steep discount. Let me know.

How steep of a discount are we talking? If you happen to still have them.

I love my LED headlamps. Laser is the latest technology - high end european cars offer them - american vehicles? My 2020 Chrysler 300 has the standard halogen projectors - decent. Optional are self leveling HID projectors. The 'cool factor' is watching them rise and fall during the initial activation.

IIRC correctly in Europe vehicles with HID are required to have a self leveling feature and not so in the US . I had the self leveling bi-xenons on my 2004 Saab and they lasted till I sold the car with about 180k miles - however Saab was using these as daytime running lights and I had disabled that "feature" . Wife Hyundai Sante Fe had halogen projectors and the difference between the Ranger LEDs is not quite night and day but close enough. I mention the bi-xenons lasted and leds are supposed to be longer lasting than halogen or xenons.

I have a 21 xlt tremor that I swapped out the head lamps and fogs with lariat lights. I picked up both sets off ebay for about 1300 total. Head lamps were perfect no broken tabs, cracks or scratches. Fogs were almost new as well. The difference is huge, not only looks but performance. Install for the headlamps isn't as bad as some say as long as you're patient and careful. Fog lamps were a pain in the ass in my opinion but also worth the time. Been running both for close to a year and haven't run into any issues as of yet. I made the swap at about 1100 miles and am only at 7400 now, so I can't speak on long term but so far so good. Good luck, and enjoy.

I have 56k on my '19 Lariat with factory led's. No issues at all, and I leave the switch in the "auto" setting all the time. Very impressed with the light output, though I did have to raise them slightly as they were a little too low from the factory.
