I find the key chime loud and annoying, so I did the fix.
Open fuse box cover. It snaps open from the top. I greased the snaps when I finished the delete fix.
Remove the 3 screws that hold the cover below the ignition switch (7MM)
On the bottom of the ignition switch there is a micro switch plug with 5 wires, and one socket is empty.
You will cut the blue wire with a red stripe. It will be next to a yellow wire which is power to the switch.
I cut it about 2 inches back from the plug, in case it had to be spliced.
I wanted to remove the socket, but it is so small I could not get it to release from the connector.
I have a 2019 Ranger XLT, so your plug must match mine. I hate cutting any wires, but this solution worked for me. Key chime gone, all other chimes work.
