How hard was it?

How much material did you have to order? Did it also improve the sound from the door speakers? Bet it's quieter inside.

I ordered the “4 door package” from Amazon. I probably had 4 full sheets left over after. It’s quieter but not having that tin can door sound is the best part. The truck feels nicer afterwards for sure.

Started this sound deadening job for the doors. Ordered some second skin. Did one door today, pretty easy. I can’t believe the difference in the way the door sounds.

Did you put that egg crate material behind the speakers?

Also, did you cover the inside door frame with the stick-on dampening material?

Ya I added the speaker foam behind the speaker, but I actually took the foam out last weekend. It’s an open cell foam and absorbs water. Once I noticed that the door is designed for water to run through it, I realized the foam was going to mold. The water drains out the little holes on the bottom of the door. I pulled the foam out and it was damp as expected.

I used the second skin material that sticks on. This is made for vibrations in the metal. There is also a really heavy mat material that deadens road noise. It’s expensive and a whole other level of noise deadening. I didn’t use any of that.

my passenger side door started rattling with the bass recently. I think the door panel or maybe the wires/cables are buzzing in there. It’s driving freaking nuts.
