Anyone else think their idle RPM is too fast ? Mine is 850 RPM. Let my foot off the brake and it accelerates to 4 mph on its own.

If it's in D, then it's going to start moving on its own if you take your foot off the brake.

Thanks for the replies. I just felt it was a little fast and my dealer said it could not be adjusted. I don't think i believe that.

Just the right speed to keep from stopping in "stop and go" traffic - if you leave a little room to the vehicle in front of you.

Fuel injected engines cannot idle much lower than that.

I've never seen one less than that.

This is the nature of a 4 cylinder engine. A v8 can idle at 5-600 and be smooth. But for every rotation they have twice as many power strokes to smooth things out.
