If I had the choice of a N/A 3.5 or 5.0 in the ranger I would have preferred a larger motor.

What this snarky guy doesn't get is the gov/epa talked about pushing fleet fuel economy standards to 50 MPG. Before this push the only guys pushing little motors to the limit daily were the civic guys. some countries tax cars based on engine size so tiny turbo motors are the standard.

Yep, my tuned 2016 5.0 Mustang gets approximately the same mileage as my Ranger. One thing that helps the Mustang is that it's a manual and weighs in at 3710 lbs. at the scales while my Ranger weighed in at 4440 lbs.
