I don't even turn the wheel. After the initial "learning curve" change I really don't even find it to be a problem
I now use my oil changes as an excuse to rotate my tires so it doesn't even matter, but even before I did it, it was very simple. I just don't get the hate for the location of the oil filter. It may not be the absolute BEST place, but it certainly isn't a bad place, IMO.

67402 at this time. It would have been higher, But I've been retired almost a year now. So, I went from driving over 250 miles a week to driving about 250 miles a month. Only major work was front brakes. At 60,000. Oil changes at every 3000. And a new battery last year. No real issues. I did have an issue with the Steeley center caps. They kept shedding. Upgraded to 2023 centers. They are a better design.
Wish you were my neighbor. I would take your used oil and run it another 3,000 miles in mine.
Oil changes for the price of a filter and 1 quart.

Mine was a 2012, is your wife’s a 6sp ? I bought it in 2014 with 34k it was a lease return. I had zero issues with the car until the compressor killed itself. Sorry to hear about your wife’s car. I like Fords but trannys are a weak spot. Other companies have issues too, not just Ford.
Not sure, but I think it's an 8 speed.

It actually physically hurt a little when I read that....

Taking my coffee out to the garage to talk to my truck now.
I will change it sometime before Winter sets in :)
I am going to get every last mile out of that $175 amsoil change, Im not going back with amsoil ever again, Its Hype if they think its better than Mobile One, I have always used Mobile One and has always done me good, I went 75k on one oil change with a Toyota

I don't see why not. Your transmission will probably fail but your engine will be fine. o_O :bandit:

I'm only at 13,700 and use full synthetic and change my oil every 5,000 miles. I did add a 10/100,000 ESP to it for added Insurance.
Does that ESP apply after the 5 year is up, or I guess run concurrently?

Unfortunately it's concurrently. I always add more than I think I'll need because if you sell it (or in my case with my '19 total it) you'll get the pro rated amount back.
