I was watching an Edmunds midsize truck comparison video, and was surprised to learn that all three reviewers disliked the ride of the XLT FX4, describing it as riding like a pogo stick, and causing nausea?! None of the above comments reflect this, and unfortunately I don't own a Ranger yet, so can't validate one way or the other.
Given how common reports of overinflated tires are, I'd suspect that.

Ride's like a real truck and that's all I've ever owned for the 30 years you'll get used to it and then love it.

My Lariat SCab FX4 rides better than my wifes 2014 Patriot Latitude, that's per her. She loves the leather seats. Ranger #4 is better than all the rest so far. Of course I'm only 100 miles in.

Would have to agree, my tires were inflated to 48 psi each, got it down to the 30 psi that is recommended on the door sticker and what a difference!

I was wonder how the Ranger rides. Especially if you came form an F-150. We take our trucks on road trips from time to time, and like a nice smooth ride on the highway. P.S. I know it's a truck so it's a relative question. Thanks for you help.
I have a 2018 f 150 fx4 .. a ranger xlt fx4 ... f 150 is lincoln smooth compared to ranger .. no comparison !!! Like going from a recliner to a wooden chair ... you asked .. for a long trip we taking tge bigger truck .. I use tge ranger pizza delivery .. use the f 150 as a tow vehicke .. as my “nice” truck .. damn ranger was only 1200 cheaper than f 150 ..

Sorry for not responding sooner folks, but I've been out of town. And wouldn't you know my compooter crapped out on me, so I just disconnected for awhile. I know the ride quality in a vehicle is quite subjective, and what one likes another won't. But this has been very informative for me. So thank you very much to all that have responded. My go to local dealer has finally gotten a Ranger on the lot, so I'm gonna try a test drive soon. It's going to be a tough decision to actually let my F-150 go.

Julie, It's funny that you mentioned it as I call my Platinum "The Rolling Recliner". The decision to go with a Ranger is going to be quite difficult for me, so I'm moving kinda slow in making a final one. BTW, we enjoy taking our F-150 on trips also. It has been on a cross country road trip in the past, and may go again. :)

Uh keep the 150 and get tge ranger .. or you will be disappointed ... the ranger kinda tight inside .. in the 150 ...( well we actually have two .. hers is a stx super cab 4x4 and mine is an all the way xlt fx4 supercab)..tge ride is big roomy and nice when we go out in my fx4 super crew ranger tge ride is harsh we kinda cramped ... .. but that little ranger is nimble and quick and easy to park and fun to drive and it will fit on trails better and I really really like it ... but getting rid of a 150 for a ranger ? ... no way !!!! .. by the same token delivering pizza in a 150?.... no way !!! I used to deliver pizza ina 2016 forester .. I just wanted my butt up higher and a truck ,, tgats why I got the ranger .. oh I got in big big trouble cuz now I have 85000 wiorth of trucks and neither one has 5000 miles in it ...

I'm comparison to my old Rangers and Tacoma rides like a dream, the steering is tight with little body roll and very maneuverable. The ride is a bit stiffer than my GM trucks and the interior isn't as plush but I think the handling, and fuel economy are a fair trade

kinda bouncy, and sways in turns at higher speeds, but it isnt a race car, its a small truck, probably awesome offroad. I like the way it handles for a small truck (coming out of a full size truck)

I get the same mileage with my new Ranger that I did with my Silverado double cab. But I've never really cared about fuel mileage. I've had MUCH worse fuel mileage

Looks like most of responses here are from 4wd owners. I have the 4 x 2 and the ride is really smooth and quiet, and my fiancee loves it. My former truck (Tacoma TRD Sport 4 x 4), was like driving a cement mixer compared with my Ranger.
