in college i was assigned a project that required interviewing strangers that had tattoos or body art. the goal was to get them to talk about why where how and what connections to life the tattoos had etc. one girl i will never forget. beautiful girl with ink every place like ink on top of ink. we talked for a bit and she told me she had no friends, messed up family and so on. said any time she felt lonely or bored she went and got a new tattoo randomly from a new shop each time. i was kinda shocked. she was nice, seemed friendly and was a looker... so the the tattoos were her drug in a way.
I wonder what the guys story is that has the tackle box in his face, likely just being "expressive"
