Wiper slap is high on the list of wiper related complaints. This ingenious solution is now on my list of things to NOT order from Amazon... How many of you folks remember the days of vacuum motor wipers...no wiper action on acceleration and hyperwipe on deceleration.Yet another upgrade to make!

Hi David,Your mention of vacuum wipers reminded me of the pneumatic turn signals of a 1960 MGA that I did a ground-up restoration of in my early 20s.
A small piston with an air bleed valve would expel air when the signal was switched on. A spring would push the piston back at the rate of the bleed valve letting air back in, completing the circuit for the right or left signal. It would typically stay on for about 6 to 8 seconds.
Interestingly, the original 20-year old switch still worked fine.
that may be my next try for the 5g ?

You reminded me of these, I had forgotten about them! =DHi David,
When I lived in Germany for 5 years as a teen, many of the cars had semi-fore left and right indicators which we called mox nix sticks. Mox nix is German slang for does not make difference.
They usually popped out of the B pillar. Fancy ones would wave up and down. They were hard to see and occasionally you would see a car with both sticks out at the same time...
Best,
Phil
