Hi, I just took my antenna off for the car wash, but do you know if I can leave it off? It hits my garage door whenever I pull in, the noise makes me jump everytimeI just went out and measured it using my laser level to be 100% sure.
With the stock antenna 6' 6 3/4"
With the Original Stubby antenna its 6' 3 1/4"

Granted this is with the tires cold sitting in my garage on a level surface so be careful if you are exactly at that height.
Yes u can it would affect reception, and I would put a bolt in it to weep it dry.Hi, I just took my antenna off for the car wash, but do you know if I can leave it off? It hits my garage door whenever I pull in, the noise makes me jump everytime

dealer should have installed it during predelivery inspectionI have a question. I did not get a antenna and trying to figure out why.any information would be helpful.
I found mine in the glove compartment. I wondered why I had no FM reception on the way home from the dealership after purchasing.I have a question. I did not get a antenna and trying to figure out why.any information would be helpful.
Being of the school of thought "leave well enough alone," I decided to leave the factory antenna as it is during my first weeks with the Ranger. After two wonderful weeks, the factory antenna fits in my garage, O.K., just barely, the parking garage at work, etc. I have some complementary car washes coming from a local merchant in cooperation with my Ford dealer, and I am just going to wing that one as well next week. If it passes, then I can continue to leave things alone. More later....What is the overall height of an FX4 with antenna?
Is the antenna's only function AM/FM reception? If it does nothing else, and I prefer to listen to music through my phone or flash drives, then there is no reason to leave it in, and no need for a stubby except to block dust and water from moving through the exposed hole? (I notice that dealers often remove them when they are on display in the lots--maybe to deter theft? Who would want one?)Yes u can it would affect reception, and I would put a bolt in it to weep it d
