Headrest Help

The thing I miss most about my 5G Ranger was that I could fold down the rear headrests when no-one was sitting in the back. The headrests on my 6G don't fold and they hit the back of my seat when I fold it down (I need to move the front seat or just pull the headrests first.)

I can find 5G folding headrests online, but have no idea if they will fit. Here's a picture of my rear headrest. Can someone with a SuperCab and someone with a SuperCrwew pull theirs and see if the measurements match my picture? I measured 4" center to center. I'm hoping the spacing is the same as the SuperCab because I can find them cheap online.

Just measured mine for you. Heres the results!

It's a little hard top tell on the picture, but it looks a little narrower than 4" center to center on the 5G SuperCab headrests. Thanks for measuring!

Even when you measure closer to the headrest, where those rods can’t flex, it looks like my Scab headrests are 3-15/16” on centre.

Thanks. It looks like Ford made the SuperCab headrests just different enough to not work on a SuperCrew. There is no flex where the posts go into my seats, so the headrests need to be 4"

Bummer - maybe double-check the Ford parts site to see if the part numbers are indeed different.

Believe it or not but I was not paying attention to the original post. Mine are 6g as well. Sorry for any confusion. I will blame it on old age!

Just measured my SuperCab headrests, and they are 3-15/16". Oh, so close...

1/16” isn’t going to matter. Buy the folders and if they don’t work I will buy them from you.

Thanks for your all's help. SuperCap headrests are a direct fit in my 6G SuperCrew. I found a cheap set of Ebony Cloth ones on eBay and the fabric matches perfectly too. If anyone here has some sitting around, I bet you could sell them on Ranger 6G.

Just an FYI, the headrests on the 5G SuperCrews only folded for the 2019 model year. Mine from 2020 are fixed. Same problems as yours.
