Has anybody used one of these kits? Are they as bogus as the price suggests?

They both say they are for 2019 3.2L. That’s the Diesel engine, not available in the US. They must fit the Rangers available outside the US.

The problem with Amazon sellers is they tend to not know anything about what they sell and the info is unreliable. If I end up with spacers, I'll probably go the Daystar route.

Many options out there so check them all out and find reviews from people who run them.

I'm really pleased with my Zone Leveling Kit

The kit is basically the BDS kit minus the rear shocks (BDS owns Zone)

I chose this kit because the lift is achieved with a thin spacer on top and a spring spacer that compresses the spring, firming up the front suspension. Doing it this way doesn't lengthen the spring assembly much.

Downside is that you have to disassemble the front springs to install.

I had a garage do my install for $150 so $200 total.

I initially chose this kit as a stopgap until I bought a full suspension, but it improved the ride to the point where I'm probably just going to stay with it.

At the end of the day, it's always safe to spend appropriate dollars on brakes and suspension/steering.

Trying to save too much in those areas can make for a bad time.

do you need a spring compressor tool to install the rough country or ranger lifts kits? looks like you have to rotate the spring. If I get a kit I'm probably looking at a DIY installation.

I installed with a friend of mine. No spring compressor, you just bolt the spacer to the top of the of the strut. Once it is attached you can insert and rotate the bottom posts with a strong screw driver or prybar.
