Wife and I have an arrangement, she does laundry, I mow lawn and clear snow. Dishes are still a grey area, but usually she washes, I dry and put away. No dishwasher in our house. Works for us.

Thanks Joe, I’ll save you a seat at the bar!
Hi Duke,

On the day of my retirement, I waited until the building was vacated for the evening. I cleaned out my office and loaded all the memories of a 30 year career into my Ranger, I left my employee hard card on my Secretary's desk along with a dozen white roses. I drove past Security at the Engineering/Research complex. Security ask me about the boxes in the bed of the truck and I told him it was 30 years of memories. He let me pass and in the mirror I saw the gate close... I would not be able to get back in as I was no longer an active employee. Tears on my cheeks, I drove to my favorite bar, the Confetti Lounge owned by my still friends, Craig and Anita J. They gave me hugs and I told them the gate closing was the end of a fantastic time at the Blue Oval and they offered that this was the start of another potential fantastic chapter of my life. And so I set out to make this true. Sure, at first it was so different but in looking back now it has been another 20 years of a fantastic life in retirement... Yes, a divorce, a blessing, and a search for the love of my life and what we two have done is beyond my wildest dreams.

This is your journey now Duke...Go for it!

Best,
Phil

Thank you Phil.

I’m definitely looking forward to this new journey with Mrs. DukeCanBuildit, who came along not that long ago.

While I didn’t put in three decades at the same employer and I’ve been self-employed for some time, I too have boxes full of memories from the past 30 years. Interestingly, most of those years were spent with a Ranger in the garage. So I guess we have a few things in common; Rangers, memories, and the loves of our lives.

Here’s to 20 more. ?

Right back at you Fred. So far, it’s been laundry and housework - maybe you can give me some pointers. ;)
Duke,
The word is out that you run things around your house...the dishwasher, lawn mower, vacuum cleaner, etc. :D

Oh man, did you hack my Google Nest cameras again - time to change my password. I guess 1-2-3-4 just isn’t secure enough. ;)
