Happy retirement Bob - here’s to it being all you hoped it would be and more.

Now, start tackling those projects you’ve been promising to get to all these years or start dreaming up a bunch of new excuses why you can’t. ?
Wife is already killing me. At this rate, I may have to get my job back!!?

Bob,
Congratulations...enjoy your retirement to the max and have fun! Thank you for answering the call to protect us citizens and put your life on the line everyday...deeply appreciated! I have been retired for 11 years and it gets BETTER every day! Love the retirement job description! When you get to the point to where you occasionally forget what day it is...you have become a seasoned retiree! :like:

Enjoy retirement Bob, words don't suffice for the gratitude we all have for being the guy running in, while everyone else is running out. Thank you.

I have been retried a long time now and frankly can't figure out why they call it retirement, because my days are as jammed today as they were when I "worked". Enjoy it much.

Congratulations on joining the retirement club! It's an adjustment so give yourself (and your wife) some time, but you find you can do the things you really wanted to do when you were working, but didn't have the time to really focus on them. It's cool to be able to sit and relax in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee and not think about work.

@Bob902 Congratulations my blue blood brother. :captain: I'm happy you made it through the gauntlet. Now, watch what happens. You'll still sit with your back to the wall in restaurants, back into parking places, and scan your surroundings every time you enter a building. That shits engrained in your psyche, and won't go away. :)

The good thing is that over time you will start trusting people again, but will still be a bit weary until you've decided they are truely OK. I've lived it brother, and still do. Enjoy the rest my friend, you deserve it.

I tell people if you show me a man that doesn't like retirement, I'll show you a man that ain't doing it right. :giggle:

Well, most days, but maybe not every day - there was that one time when @Bob902 and his partner spent the day giving out tickets to people who couldn’t park properly, but then again, I think you knew that. ?

Hi Duke,

Everyday...I wake up and look at the clock to see what time it is... There is no need for an alarm clock...Today 5:40...tomorrow maybe 9:00....

Best,
Phil

I don't think I've used one of those in over 10 years. My phone basically takes the place of it and many other things now. When I was reading reviews on hotels for our trip someone dinged one of them for no alarm clock. I guess not everyone uses them but I can see them becoming extinct just like phone booths and the Rolodex. lol:ninja:

Being retired, I wake when I wake. Usually my girl is my alarm clock.
