I think it will be fine , if Dr. says it's going to be 3 more months till I can use my right foot to drive , then I'm going to use my left hand to work the pedals , no biggie , my left hand is usually doing nothing anyway...well , unless , you know...

Many years ago I had a friend who had the real-deal professionally installed hand controls on several of his vehicles.

My advice, be very careful. Your brain is not used to controlling speed and braking with your hands. If one of your feet works, be prepared to stab the brakes with it if at all possible. It is super easy to get confused and do the wrong thing with hand controls if you've been able-bodied driving all of your life.
Very true. I got the Darios from Kempf in my truck...it was a VERY different experience to say the least. And that's most natural, ergonomic one there is (at 10 fuckin' K!!!)

Once I finally got a hang of it, I disconnected my battery so it could relearn shift points.
