and of course i forgot that living in the great state of NY i cant even get .22 ammo sent to me...........gee whiz
That sucks!,I had the same problem when I lived in MA. Do you know anyone close by in a free state who could get it and then re send it to you? It cost you a little more but at least you'll have some. I know that Walmart around here carries CCI but I'm not sure there the Velocity.

Just found this lovely thread on the forum, guns are my second love next to my truck!

I grew up shooting in the boy scouts, but as a young adult got into handgun, and then rifle competitions. The indoor range I live close to in North Atlanta has a vibrant Pistol and Rifle competition scene - holding matches every week for rifle and pistol each.

For pistol I shoot a Glock 34 (9mm) with an upgraded trigger, ZevTek magwell and Taran Tactical extensions.

For rifle (223 or 556) I shoot a heavily modified Mossberg MMR with a 1.5LB single stage Patriot Ordinance trigger.

For concealed carry I rock the Shield 45 ACP with a mag extension

It's hard to say which one I'm more passionate about....my Ranger or my guns. All I know is both are expensive hobbies. lol

Nice collection Stephen! My main EDC is my Shield 9mm and I rotate with my 1911. I'll add my new Sig P365XL after I get several more rounds through it but it's been way to hot here to get out and shoot.

Got my Alien Gear Cloak Belt Holster on Saturday. I ordered it on July 6th so not to bad considering the mad rush right now. I have this exact one for my Shield and was thinking of just buying the shell for the Sig and swapping them out. Not that it's hard to swap out (4 screws) but I'm lazy and it was easier to just buy the whole holster. lol

Now if it ever cools off to get out shooting. We just broke the record yesterday for the most days over 110 in one summer. The past record was 33 days and we're now at 34 days and no end in sight. ? ?

Normal range day around here. Mostly competition guns, but a couple others that are for fun or defense.

Thankfully, I got set up to reload years ago and have not slowed down with training yet.

Thanks. Ordered the Decked system before I ordered the truck, and the Diamondback HD cover soon after that. Needed a rolling "gun safe" for the 18-20 competitions I travel to annually. The Keizen foam inserts for the Decked system took a little to get them perfect, but make traveling with firearms much easier.

Finally!!! After fighting with the post office for the past 2 weeks, I have my upper assembly!!:handsinair::turkey::champagne: I can now put it all together. EXCEPT the Ejection Dust cover. I am missing the tiny "c" clip. I have sent an email to the site where I bought it letting them know. It's not a big deal, it won't stop me from putting it together. I will just put the dust cover on when I get the clip. Been looking at custom ones too.

I am probably gonna wait until the weekend as I have ordered this Bench Block and it will be here Friday. I won't be able to shoot it until either Monday or next weekend anyway.

I have been looking hard at a 9mm pistol build for the wife. She mentioned it when I first was looking to build this AR. I figure a 7" barrel would be perfect for her. I have looked at these lower receivers along with this one. I am gonna wait until after vacation (at the end of August) before I order anything unless the price is right.

By Southern California standards, someone owning 100,000 rounds of ammo and 100 guns is considered "mentally unstable."

BUT…
In Michigan, he'd be called "the last white guy still living in Detroit."
In Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector."
In Arkansas, he'd be called "a novice gun collector."
In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food.
In Kansas, he'd be "A guy down the road you would want to have for a friend."
In Montana, he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy."
In Idaho, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate."
In Georgia, he'd be called "an eligible bachelor."
In North Carolina, Virginia, WV, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina and Minnesota he would be called "a deer hunting buddy."
AND,OF COURSE,
In Florida , he'd just be "a guy who's a little short on Ammo."

Good news for all you in CA...Hopefully this time it doesn't get appealed again! Shouldn't this apply to every state?

BREAKING: Duncan v Becerra (9th Circuit): 9th Circuit rules that the ban on possession of magazines that hold more than ten rounds of ammunition violates the 2nd Amendment.

The panel affirmed the district court’s summary judgment in favor of plaintiffs challenging California Government Code § 31310, which bans possession of large-capacity magazines (“LCMs”) that hold more than ten rounds of ammunition; and held that the ban violated the Second Amendment.

Eventually it should but the courts can only control Their area. For lack of a better way to put it.

You're right but seeing as this is the 9th Circus (circuit) there might be hope yet!
