Just had a local installer do the GlassParency windshield treatment on my Ranger.
Now will have to see how it does.

Has anyone done this?

Also, they are waiting to get the supplies to do the XPEL Paint Protection Film on parts of my Ranger too.

I just picked mine up from the shop Thursday. GlassParency and Ceramic pro paint protection. Time will tell if it was worth it. It sure is shiny now:)

.
Yes, it is playing garage queen right now. I am going to give the ceramic a little time to harden.

Windshields are already specially treated to block UVA as well as UVB, However, a vehicles' side and rear windows allow UVA to penetrate. Also, since they are activated by UV exposure, most Transitions lenses don't work behind the windshield of a car as the windshield blocks UV rays.

No need for further windshield treatments,
I'm not worried about UVA or UVB like you say, it's all the rain, snow, rocks that I'm worried about.
I've replaced 3 windshields on my work pickup in 2 years at $350 each, along with 4 in the last week or other work vehicles.
I drive on gravel roads and even on the highways here in MT that use sand and small rocks during winter instead of salts, so protecting my Ranger windshield or treating it for visibility protection is important IMO.
