Saw people replacing their FX4 stickers and decided on giving my truck a theme. After all, he is called Grimlock and I am pretty partial to the hyperblue color so I got with theJestergraphics.com about cutting me something up. Never have attempted something like this before but the overall look definitely set it apart. Here are my install pics.

So, I figured it was time for Grimmy to get some new shoes. When I first purchased this truck, what got me interested was a model on their show floor. It was an XLT but it had a level and much nicer wheels and tires. Well, I wanted those same things because to me that is what set that truck off. I just did not want to pay 55k for it..lol

So I did just that, went to 4wheelparts and ordered some Fuel Tactics 20x9 offset +1 and some Procomp 285\65R20 AT tires and a ReadyLift 3" level kit.

End result : Love...lol

And now......this. Started seeing pics of Rangers sitting on 6" lifts for the last month or so and I could not get it out of my brain. As soon as I found out my Ford dealership would warranty everything if I did the install there, my mind was made up. Went with the BDS 6" IFS system and FOX 2.0 shocks. Just wow, this is the stance I am looking for. bye bye mpgs.

Looks GREAT! Nice job! Did you have to do any modifications for rubbing issues with your tire/wheel/level set-up?

Yeah, I had to cut the rear crash bars and completely remove the front ones. I think this lift is supposed to be good for up to 35" tires though.

Yeah, this:

  • Tire & Wheel Combinations
  • 35x12.50 w/20x9 and 5.5-6" back spacing
  • 305/65r18 w/18x9 and 5" back spacing
  • 33x12.50 w/17x9/18x9/20x9 and 4.5" back spacing
    *Trimming may be required*

Can you share more details on this bike rack/bar you made? Material sourced, measurements, etc.

I work at a sheet metal fab shop so all the parts were just scrap lying around. I just machined up a few of the components and had them welded up and painted. Sorry for the extreeeeeeeemely late reply...lol

New pics:

Took Grimlock to 4 Wheel Parts here in Little Rock for a few more additions.

20200828_093335.jpg

Took about a full day for them to have everything installed.

Behold!

20200829_134029-01.jpeg

ADD Stealth Fighter/Smittybilt X20 10K Winch/Rigid Radiance 40" light bar/Rigid Radiance Pods installed!

Yes they do light up, but not while Im driving... 😅

Im thinking the only other add ons I want are on board air, a good chase rack and will eventually get 35" tires put on...maybe some rock sliders. This is good for at least 7 months.😂
